24 killed as truck collides with van in western India

Police say 24 people are dead after a truck collided with an overcrowd van in western India. All 24 victims were traveling in the van when the accident occurred early Thursday near the city of Jodhpur, said police officer Sanjeev Kumar Narjari. Deadly road accidents are common in India, frequently caused by poor roads, overcrowded vehicles and reckless driving.
