3 suspects with alleged ties to al-Qaida cell arrested in Spain

Spanish police say they have broken up an al-Qaida-linked cell and have arrested three people. The Interior Ministry says the three men of Algerian origin were arrested on allegations that they helped raise funds for Islamic terrorist activities. The ministry says they were arrested Tuesday in southern Huelva province and in the Basque country. There's no evidence any attack was imminent. Since the March 11 terror attacks of 2004, Madrid police have arrested more than 300 people suspected of terrorism.
