An official at Afghanistan's mission in northwestern Pakistan says gunmen have kidnapped an Afghan diplomat and killed his driver.
A spokesmen for the Afghan Consulate in Peshawar says gunmen ambushed its top diplomat, Abdul Khaliq Farahi, as he traveled toward his home in the city on Monday.
The spokesman, who gave his name only as Mr. Babri, says the attackers killed Farahi's driver and took the diplomat away.
