A survey conducted by the BBC shows that residents of Europe, North America and Asia believe there is no justification for war between the West and Islam, Army Radio reported on Sunday night. According to the poll, 28% of those surveyed felt that the confrontation between the two cultures was unavoidable. Over half of the participants said they believed the ongoing tension was a result of political causes, and 58% said that minorities were contributing to fanning the flames of the conflict. Over 1,000 people from 27 different countries participated in the survey, the report said.
