An extreme right-wing leader in Belgium has asked Jews to join forces with his party against Muslims. Filip Dewinter, leader of the Vlaams Belang party, said Belgian Jews were natural allies in a struggle against "the main enemy of the moment" -radical Islamic fundamentalism. Vlaams Belang, a party with an anti-immigrant agenda, is popular in Antwerp, which has a large Jewish community.
