Britain says soldier killed in Afghanistan blast

Officials say a British soldier was killed by an explosion in southern Afghanistan. They say the soldier was part of a British-Afghan patrol. The victim's identity was not released when the announcement was made Monday. The victim is the 116th British soldier or civilian defense employee to die in Afghanistan since 2001.
