British police charges four men with Terrorism Act offenses

British police charged four men with offenses under the Terrorism Act Monday evening, after they were arrested in a series of raids in the central England town of Birmingham. Britain's Press Association reported that West Midlands police charged three of the men with engaging in conduct with the intention of assisting in the commission of acts of terror. A fourth man was charged with failure to disclose information relating to terror. The four men, aged between 29 and 34, will appear at a London court Tuesday. The four men were arrested after anti-terror raids on six homes and two commercial properties in Birmingham, 190 kilometers northwest of London on Oct. 21. A fifth man arrested in the raids was released without being charged.
