CIA warns European countries of al-Qaida attack, French paper says

The CIA has warned several countries in Europe that al-Qaida is planning an attack within their borders, Israel Radio quoted the French newspaper Le Monde as saying on Thursday. According to the report, the warnings, which were based on an email sent to a senior al-Qaida operative approximately a month ago, were passed to the intelligence agencies in France, Britain, Italy and Germany.
