The Canadian ambassador to Seoul is being dispatched to North Korea with a strong message calling for a resolution of the crisis over the communist country's nuclear weapons program, the South Korean president's office said Saturday. It was unclear who asked for the ambassador, who also serves as Canada's envoy to North Korea, to go to Pyongyang. The office of South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun said Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper reported the upcoming trip during their meeting Saturday on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Hanoi. North Korea agreed on October 31 to return to six-party talks on its nuclear program after a yearlong boycott.
