Georgia: Russian planes breach Georgian airspace

Russian military planes have twice breached Georgian airspace, according to Georgia's Foreign Ministry. The ministry said the planes flew over parts of South Ossetia and western Georgia on Monday in two separate incursions. It said two planes flew into Georgia from its northern border with Russia at around 10 a.m. (0600GMT), and around half an hour later three planes flew deeper into Georgia. The Russian Defense Ministry could not be reached late Monday. An EU-brokered cease-fire was signed by Georgia and Russia after a short war in August. Around 200 EU observers were deployed in Georgia earlier this month to ensure peace. International talks on the crisis in the former Soviet republic start Wednesday in Geneva.
