Gillerman: UNSC will reach Iran agreement soon

December 10, 2006 13:56

Israeli Ambassador to the UN Danny Gillerman speculated on Sunday that the Security Council would soon decide unanimously to significantly limit Iran's nuclear armament capabilities. Negotiations have been going on for months, Gillerman said, and now the countries involved are close to an agreement. "I believe that there is an awareness in the international community that the Iranian threat is not a threat to Israel alone, but a threat to the whole world, and therefore there is in the international community a very significant coalition of very serious nations who want to prevent this armament."
