Iran, Israel-Palestinian talks on agenda for Livni's visit to Russia

Iran's nuclear ambitions and Israeli-Palestinian peace talks are expected to top the agenda for Israel's foreign minister who was scheduled to arrive in Moscow on Wednesday for meetings with her Russian counterpart and top officials. Tsipi Livni's trip to Moscow comes as the increasing number of Israeli clashes with Palestinian militants is complicating renewed peace talks with Palestinian moderates in the West Bank. Before her departure, Livni said in a statement that she would seek Russia's support in securing the success of the ambitious negotiations that resumed Monday. Moscow has proposed hosting the next scheduled conference on the Israeli-Palestinian peace effort.
