France said Thursday that sanctions to force Iran to cooperate with international demands for a suspension of its nuclear program should be "progressive, proportionate and reversible."
Foreign Ministry spokesman Jean-Baptiste Mattei did not give details on what form sanctions might take.
"We favor measures that are progressive, proportionate and reversible, with the objective being to convince Iran to cooperate with the international community," he said.
