One British soldier was shot to death and another was wounded in southern Iraq, a military spokeswoman said, the second British fatality this month. The attackers opened fire on the patrol at about 5 p.m., wounding the two soldiers in Basra's central Ashar neighborhood, British military spokeswoman Capt. Katie Brown said.
