Iraq: US soldier killed by roadside bomb

A US soldier was killed Monday when a roadside bomb exploded near him north of Baghdad, the military said. The soldier died around 12:45 p.m. local time in Muqdadiyah, 95 kilometers north of Baghdad, the US military said in a statement. The victim's name was withheld pending family notification.
