An earthquake has shaken buildings in downtown Reno Thursday, but there are no immediate reports of damage.
A magnitude 4.1 quake hit just before 4 p.m. Thursday (2300 GMT) and was centered 4 miles (6 kilometers) west-northwest of Reno, the US Geological Survey reported.
The survey says the quake followed smaller ones just beforehand. Several small quakes have been centered in the area in recent weeks.
