An earthquake rattled the sea east of Taiwan and China on Friday, the official Xinhua News Agency said.
The magnitude 6.3 earthquake struck about 350 kilometers (220 miles) to the east of Taipei and about 450 kilometers (280 miles) from the nearest coastline of the Chinese mainland at 8:26 a.m. (0026 GMT), Xinhua said citing the local earthquake monitoring agency.
There were no reports of any damage.
