An overcrowded boat carrying illegal migrants capsized Sunday in a lake in southern Albania, killing a woman and her 3-month-old baby, police said. The small fishing boat carrying 13 people sank only 60 meters from shore at about 7:20 p.m., police spokesman Klodian Branko said. The other 11 passengers were rescued. The dead woman was identified as Elvira Jaho, 22. Her husband was among the survivors. Authorities were investigating why the first boat capsized. Police detained a second migrant boat not far from where the other one capsized. It was also carrying 13 migrants. Police arrested two people, the owner and driver of one of the boats.
