A landmine believed to have been planted by Kurdish rebels killed five Turkish soldiers and wounded nine others Thursday in southeast Turkey, the governor's office said. The blast targeted a military vehicle, and followed a suicide bombing in Ankara on Tuesday that authorities said bore similarities to methods used by Kurdish guerrillas. The rebels are fighting for autonomy in the Kurdish-dominated southeast.
