Moderate 5.4 earthquake rattles central Peru coast, no deaths reported

A 5.4-magnitude earthquake rattled Peru's coast near the capital early Saturday, but no damages or fatalities were immediately reported. The US Geological Survey said the quake struck in the Pacific Ocean at 7:51 a.m. local time, 10 miles west of Lima, shaking startled Peruvians out of bed.
