Pakistani President Gen. Pervez Musharraf said Friday the world must give Hamas a chance to show if it can transform itself like Prime Minister Ariel Sharon into a force for peace. "Everyone thought he (Sharon) was a military man, a strongman, that he's the one who was destroying peace. But as it developed, it ended up as if he was the only hope of peace in that region," Musharraf told journalists after giving a speech at the European Organization for Nuclear Research. "Let us hope that Hamas also ends up like that."
