NYC police ups alert after London foiled attacks

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg instructed police to raise its alert over the weekend following the dual terror attacks averted in London, England on Friday, Israel Radio reported early Saturday morning. Police will patrol the streets in increased numbers, focusing on potential targets of attacks. However, there was no immediate threat for the city, and the measures were just precautionary, Bloomberg added.
