A group that calls itself the largest Nazi party in the US said Tuesday that it canceled a meeting at the home of a Nazi Waffen SS veteran in the US because there was evidence that anti-National Socialist groups were planning to disrupt the meeting.
Former SS member Ted Junker had faced contempt charges because he was planning to allow the Minneapolis-based National Socialist Movement to hold a meeting August 25 at the Hitler Museum that he had built on his farm in Walworth County, Wisconsin.
Michael P. Cotter, deputy corporation counsel for Walworth County, said Tuesday a contempt hearing against Junker would be dismissed because the meeting was canceled.
