Nicole Kidman urges global fight to end violence against women

Actress Nicole Kidman, who is seven months pregnant, is passionately committed to her other job as a UN goodwill ambassador.
She came to UN headquarters on Tuesday to urge world leaders and ordinary people to join the global fight to end violence against women.
Kidman told a news conference that "one in three women will encounter violence in some way, shape or form against them in their lifetime."
She said it was "an extraordinary statistic" that few people ever hear.
