The Norwegian ambassador to Saudi Arabia apologized on Saturday for the publication of the cartoons ridiculing Islam's prophet, Muhammad, in his country's newspaper.
He added that the government and people of Norway regretted their part in the controversy, according to Israel Radio. Norway supported free expression, he explained, but on condition that it didn't harm the respect or beliefs of others.
