Returns from the first handful of Louisiana precincts showed Barack Obama leading the Democratic primary Saturday night, slicing into Hillary Rodham Clinton's slender delegate lead in their deadlocked battle for the Democratic presidential nomination.
Obama also won caucuses in the Virgin Islands with nearly 90 percent of the vote and was winning two-thirds support in Nebraska and Washington state.
