The Mirage aircraft crashed due to a technical problem near Dera Ismail Khan, a city in the North West Frontier Province, air force spokesman Wing Cmdr Amir Zaheer said. He did not elaborate.
No damage or loss of life was reported on the ground when the jet crashed, Zaheer said.
