Parts of two JFK terminals evacuated

A man breached security at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York, causing security officials to evacuate parts of two terminals and delaying some flights for hours. The man, who had not been found by Thursday evening, circumvented security at Terminal 3 at about 4:15 p.m. the US Transportation Security Administration said in an announcement. When TSA workers were unable to immediately locate the man, they called on officials with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which runs the airport, to help evacuate the secure parts of Terminals 2 and 3. All passengers went through security a second time before normal operations resumed, Port Authority spokesman Alan Hicks said. More than a dozen flights were delayed.
