British Prime Minister Tony Blair will step down on July 26 next year, London's The Sun reported Wednesday.
Blair will resign as Labour Party leader on May 31 next year, after which an eight-week succession contest would take place. Chancellor of the Exchequer Gordon Brown is widely expected to be Blair's successor.
Blair's popularity has fallen recently over a series of government scandals.
