Report: Israel axed arms deal with ex-USSR state

Israel has pulled out of a weapons deal with a former Soviet republic for fear of damaging its diplomatic relations with Russia, Israel Radio reported. The large-scale deal was to have included both the sale and trade of weapons, and defense officials from the unnamed republic were reportedly in Israel to meet with their local counterparts.
