Reports: Russia could send peacekeepers to Darfur

Russia could send peacekeepers to Sudan's troubled province of Darfur, the Russian foreign minister said Saturday, according to news agencies. "This is quite realistic as there is no peacekeeping situation in Africa in which we have not been involved in one way or another," Sergey Lavrov was quoted as saying by ITAR-Tass and Interfax.
