US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice expressed concern early Friday at the ongoing clashes between Palestinian security services. She said the entire Palestinian leadership must act to calm the situation. Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, Rice added, must assert his authority over the different factions. Rice made the comments in Washington following a meeting with Saudi Foreign Minister Saud al-Faisal.
