Roadside bomb kills 7 soldiers in Turkey

A roadside bomb explosion killed seven soldiers in eastern Turkey on Monday. The private Dogan news agency said the bomb went off in Erzincan province as a military vehicle was passing by. Four soldiers were also injured in the attack on Monday. Rebels of the Kurdistan Workers' Party, or PKK, have been fighting for self-rule in southeast Turkey since 1984. The fighting has killed tens of thousands of people.
