Russian President Vladimir Putin to visit Libya this week

Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit Libya this week, the Kremlin said in a statement Monday.
He will be in the country on Wednesday and Thursday at the invitation of the Libyan leader, Moammar Gadhafi, Putin's office said in the statement.
The previously unannounced trip comes days after Ukraine's president visited Libya and struck an oil deal with Gadhafi.
The Kremlin has not given any details of Putin's agenda.
