Russian media: Nobel laureate Alexander Solzhenitsyn dies at 89

Russian news agencies said author Alexander Solzhenitsyn, the Nobel prize-winning chronicler of the horrors of the Soviet gulag system, has died.
The ITAR-Tass news agency cited his son Stepan as saying he died late Sunday of heart failure. He was 89.
