China can count on France for help in the aftermath of a major earthquake in Sichuan province, French President Nicolas Sarkozy said Monday night.
Sarkozy said the French people felt "great sadness" over the devastation and death caused by the May 12 disaster. He said France would send more medical teams to China.
Sarkozy made the comments Monday after signing a book of condolences at the Chinese Embassy in Paris.
