Saudi Arabia beheads man convicted of murder in family dispute

A Saudi convict was beheaded Monday for killing a relative during a family dispute, the Interior Ministry said.
The ministry statement, carried by the official Saudi Press Agency, did not say when Abdullah al-Udaily was convicted, nor describe his relationship with the victim, Mansour al-Ghurair.
Al-Udaily was executed Monday in the northern city of Hail, it said.
Saudi Arabia follows a strict interpretation of Islam under which those convicted of murder, drug trafficking, rape and armed robbery are executed in public with a sword.
