Saudi authorities on Thursday beheaded two Pakistani men, one convicted of drug smuggling and the other convicted of killing a Pakistani couple, the Interior Ministry said.
In two separate statements carried by the official Saudi Press Agency, the ministry said Jamil Muhammad Jamil robbed and strangled a Pakistani couple - while Bakhtiar Sirfiraz Khan was caught smuggling heroin into the kingdom.
The statements said both Jamil and Khan were executed in the western seaport city of Jeddah.
Saudi Arabia follows a strict interpretation of Islam under which those convicted of murder, drug trafficking, rape and armed robbery are publicly executed with a sword.
