Six policemen killed by Taliban in Afghanistan

Taliban militants ambushed police in southern Afghanistan, leaving six officers dead and two others wounded, an official said Friday. The attack happened in Helmand province's Marja district on Thursday, said Muhammad Hussein, the provincial police chief. Two police vehicles were also damaged in the attack, Hussein said. There were no reports of Taliban casualties.
