Small plane crashes in neighborhood near airport outside Los Angeles

Authorities say at least four people are badly injured after a twin-engine plane crashed in a neighborhood near Los Angeles. Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor says the Cessna 310 went down Saturday afternoon in Compton about a block from the city's airport. A Los Angeles County sheriff's spokesman says it's unclear whether the plane crashed into homes. It's also unclear whether the injured people were on the ground or in the plane. Gregor says it is not yet known how many people were on board. The flight originated in San Diego and was heading for Compton.
