European Union foreign policy chief Javier Solana said Thursday that the EU would continue to support the Palestinian Authority, and would adopt a wait-and-see policy regarding the Hamas-led PA. Solana also made positive remarks regarding the meeting between Hamas and Turkish officials in Turkey. His comments followed a meeting with PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas. Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni challenged Solana's comments and decision to meet, calling them "unnecessary" and "destructive," Israel Radio reported.
