Solana hopes for positive response from Iran at nuclear meeting

EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana says he hopes for a constructive and positive response from Iran regarding an offer of incentives to halt its nuclear program presented last month.
Solana, speaking in Berlin on Wednesday, has also stressed that he "cannot guarantee success" before Saturday's meeting in Geneva with Iran's chief nuclear negotiator and representatives of the six nations engaging them in talks - including the US
The package of incentives sets out a scenario in which Iran would get a temporary reprieve from economic and financial sanctions in exchange for freezing its enrichment activities.
