Solana to arrive in Mideast for talks Monday

EU Foreign Policy Chief Javier Solana is expected to visit the Middle East on Monday, Israel Radio reported on Sunday. Solana will head first to Egypt to meet with President Hosni Mubarak. He will then meet in Israel with Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni and Defense Minister Amir Peretz, as well as with Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas.
