Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir has vowed in an interview never to deal with or appear before the International Criminal Court.
ICC prosecutor Luis Moreno-Ocampo has indicted Bashir of genocide in Darfur and asked the court for an arrest warrant. It may be weeks before a ruling on the request is made.
In an interview published Thursday in the Sudanese daily al-Ayyam, Bashir said his government would "never deal" with the ICC and that he has no intention of ever appearing before it.
Bashir also said his government would challenge the indictment's legality before the UN Security Council and the International Court of Justice.
