A bomb exploded next to two busy roadside restaurants in Thailand's restive south on Saturday, killing a woman and wounding 14 other people, police said.
The bomb, triggered by a mobile phone, was placed near a cooking gas canister between a restaurant and coffee shop in Narathiwat province's Rangae district, said police Col. Chalerm Yingyong.
The attack came after a brief lull in recent months in violence afflicting Thailand's southernmost provinces, the scene of a Muslim separatist insurgency.
