Turkey's top court says the Islamic-oriented governing party will not be banned.
The head of the Constitutional Court says that the ruling Justice and Development Party will instead be deprived of financial assistance from the state.
Court chief Hasim Kilic made the announcement after three days of deliberations over whether the party had been trying to steer Turkey toward Islamic rule.
