UK: Beating radicalization will take 30 years

Britain's terrorism minister says it will take 30 years to fully solve problems with the radicalization of young Muslims. Lord Alan West told a committee at London's House of Commons on Tuesday that the UK government now has a growing understanding of how extremists target teenagers. He said ministers also understand how some aspects of British foreign policy have angered British Muslims. But West told lawmakers that work to stop young people falling prey to extremists would take around three decades. West also confirmed Britain is considering appointing a US-style national security adviser.
