US disapproves of ElBaradei's proposed Iran deal

Washington expressed great disapproval on Tuesday concerning the statements made on Monday by IAEA chief Muhammad ElBaradei saying that a compromise could be struck with Iran within a week. According to ElBaradei, the hypothetical deal would allow Iran to partially enrich uranium. Tom Casey, spokesman of the US State Department, responded to the proposal, saying: You can't be partially pregnant, Army Radio reported. He added that Iran would be able to expand the partial enrichment, within a short time, to military purposes, as North Korea had done.
