US envoy Christopher Hill on Saturday said Washington supports a Chinese proposal of informal six-party talks with North Korea.
"As many of you know, the Chinese have talked about putting together a six-party informal, and we both support that and we think that all countries are prepared to come to that informal meeting," Hill told reporters.
Hill spoke after a meeting with Chun Young-woo, South Korea's top negotiator in international nuclear talks. He is on a tour of the region to coordinate the response to North Korea's test of seven missiles on Wednesday.
