The Orient Queen, a cruise liner evacuating more than 1,000 Americans from Lebanon, left Beirut's port heading for Cyprus on Wednesday - the first large pullout by the US since the conflict between Israel and Lebanon intensified a week earlier.
US Ambassador Jeffrey Feltman said, "We expect this to go on for the next week until every American who has asked us for help to leave, gets to leave."
